WELLEW
Wellew (pronounced as "Vellev," with "Welle" meaning "wave" in German) is the alias of Mikhail Kukin, musician, promoter, DJ and founder of the Moscow club and label RNDM. Since 2009, he has released several releases in different genres under the nicknames Mike Kukin and Lilly Fox, participated in the projects NewTone and Silwerstone, which are known for their music for the films “Shadowboxing-2”, “The Dark World” and others. Wellew is a techno-focused project that launched in 2016 on Spanish label Devotion Records with the release of the Want U Back EP, featuring remixes from Ben Long and Spiros Kaloumenos. Author of the acclaimed hit "Arma" and others published on his home label. In 2017, he created a small club RNDM, which is still developing and supporting the underground electronic scene in Moscow and Russia.
Wellew's music was included in their performances and podcasts by world-famous artists, including Chicago Loop, Spektre, SHEEFIT, A.Paul, The YellowHeads and others; the artist's performances themselves are full of dense dynamics, interesting selection and groove. Recently, Mikhail managed to show up at all the key events and clubs in the country, including the Boiler Room Moscow party and the SIGNAL festival.
